Although she was receiving an old-age pension of just ₪2,299 per month, her application for an income supplement was held up because the National Insurance Institute claimed she might be receiving rental income from an apartment that had belonged to her late parents.
MAAN team helped Salma open a personal online account with the National Insurance Institute, submit her claim, and gather the extensive documentation required. This included bank statements, financial declarations, inheritance documents, and proof that the apartment had been transferred to her brother and that she received no income from it. Three months later, in July 2026, the National Insurance Institute approved her claim and recognized her eligibility for an income supplement retroactive to April 2025. On July 14, 2026, ₪82,375 was deposited into her bank account, covering the period from April 2025 through June 2026.
