Dani Ben Simhon, one of the three curators spoke to us: “we contemplated whether the times are suitable. Both peoples are immersed in unbearable trauma. On the Israeli side the crimes committed by Hamas, I would call it the October 7 pogrom. On the Palestinian (Gazan) side it is Israel’s retaliation, causing death, havoc and displacement of civilians. Finally we have decided to hold the exhibit, because we think that we must make a place for solidarity over hate, for art and culture over fundamentalism and ignorance.”
The exhibition is organized since 2004 by MAAN and Sindyanna of Galilee in cooperation with hundreds of Jewish and Arab artists, who contribute their works to help support the efforts of MAAN to organize and empower Arab women in the Israeli job market.
